Mary M. Knepp

Mary M. Knepp, 94, of Washington, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Daviess Community Hospital.

She was born August 20, 1925 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Samuel and Mary (Graber) Graber.

Mary married Noah Knepp in November of 1977 and he preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ in her youth and was faithful until her death. She was a member of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Mary was a great baker and enjoyed working in the garden.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Knepp; siblings, Elizabeth (Amos R.) Stoll, Joel (Maggie) Graber, Noah (Sarah) Graber, Fannie (Ben) Stoll, Jacob Graber, Barbara (John H.) Graber, Eli (Mary) Graber, Emma (Noah E.) Wagler and Enos (Maggie) Graber; step-son, Leroy “Topper” Knepp; step-grandson, Jeremy Swartzentruber; step-great-granddaughters, Jasmine Nichols and Carli Noel Knepp; step-great-grandsons, Little Kenny Yoder and Ashton Kaede Mast; step-daughter-in-law, Rachel Knepp.

She is survived by her step-children, Willis (Anita) Knepp of Lake Butler, Florida, Rose (Larry) Swartzentruber of Odon, John H. (Ruth) Knepp of Montgomery, Verda (Marvin) Graber of Loogootee, Alma (Dallas) Yoder of Loogootee, Esther (Leonard) Yoder of Montgomery, Ruth (Mervin) Beachy of Loogootee, Naomi Knepp of Washington and Noah (Bernice) Knepp Jr. of Odon; step-daughter-in-law, Marilyn Knepp of Goshen (wife of Leroy “Topper”, deceased); 33 step-grandchildren and 52 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 and Friday, November 1st, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church in Montgomery.
