Dorcas “Dee” M. Matteson, 95, of Washington, IN, passed away October 24, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.
Dee had worked for DuPont in Akron, OH, as a lab technician. She then moved to Washington, IN, to be with her daughter, Alice. While in Washington, she enjoyed attending the Full Gospel Chapel.
Surviving is her daughter, Alice Fitzgerald of Washington, IN; her sister, Marilyn Thomas and her husband, Richard, of Talmadge, OH; her grandchildren, Ann Denise Fogarty and her husband, Ed, of Washington, IN and Shelly Makame of Indianapolis, IN; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Born March 26, 1924, in Summitt County, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Bernice (Robinson) Grimm. Her parents; her daughter, Marsha Marie; her brothers, John and Melford Grimm; and her sisters, Elsie Thomas, Grace Burton, and Emily Barb preceded her.
Services will be held at the Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum on Saturday, at 2:00. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
