During their weekly meeting on Wednesday the Rotary Club of Washington made a $1000 gift to the Daviess County 4-H to support their on-going expansion project. Rotary received a matching grant that will make the gift a $2000 gift. Over the past month local Rotarians were actively engaged in raising the money to support the 4-H project. Rotary Club President, David Stowers, remarked, “We are grateful for the opportunity to help the Daviess County 4-H with their ongoing expansion project. We look forward to seeing the youth of our community enjoy these new facilities. Our Rotary motto is service above self and this is another opportunity for us as Rotarians to live that motto.”

The Rotary Club of Washington and Daviess County 4-H share a rich history of membership involvement between the two organizations.
