Martin County authorities say they are looking for James “Mike” Hert.
Yesterday at 6:05-am, the sheriff’s department was advised by Martin County Community Corrections of a tamper alarm on a GPS Tracking Device on the ankle monitor for Hert.
An officer went to Hert’s home in Shoals and found the monitor in the yard and no one home. Hert was serving in community corrections on meth charges.
Hert is described as a 56-year-old white male, brown hair, green eyes, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. Anyone with information is advised not to approach or to try to apprehend him but call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 812-247-3726.
