Economic Development building sells

sold

The Daviess County Economic Development Building or old Jay C Penny facility downtown has sold.

Local developer Dusty Davis has reached an agreement with the Economic Development Foundation to buy the building.

The Washington Times Herald reports that Davis plans to make the 3rd floor of the building a banquet hall.  Davis says he’s not ready to talk about his plans for the rest of the building.

With the pending sale, Economic Development Corporation Director Bryant Niehoff says the EDC will move to the 2nd floor of the old German American Bank Building also owned by economic development.
