Lorna G Ashby, 63, of Washington, passed away on September 13, 2019 at home.
She was born on July 19, 1956, in Washington to Dolan and Betty (Hammond) Delaney. Lorna was a member of the Washington High School Class of 1974. She attended Vincennes University Jr. College. She married Kenny Ashby on August 19, 1978 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Good Shephard Lutheran Church of Washington. Lorna loved her grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Ashby; daughter, Alexis Ashby of Vincennes; father, Dolan Delaney, of Washington; sister Carlene (Gary)Wright of Newburgh; brothers Mike (Cindy) Delaney of Washington, Charles (Mary) Delaney of Houston, TX, Nolan “Butch” (Cyndi) Delaney of Montgomery; grandchildren Devin Madison and Olivia Madison of Princeton, Brett Wheatley of Evansville, Henry Vega and Ryan Vega of Vincennes.
Lorna was preceded in death by her daughter Delana Ashby and her mother, Betty (Hammond) Delaney.
The funeral service will be Monday, September 16, 11 am, at the Good Shephard Lutheran Church with Pastor Christopher Byars. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Sunday, September 15 from 4 to 8 pm at the Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel and on Monday, September 16 from 10 am until the Service time at the Church.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Good Shephard Lutheran Church.
