(NETWORK INDIANA)  The first person in line to get a sports bet down when it becomes legal in Indiana will be Governor Holcomb.

Governor Holcomb plans to get a bet down at high noon Sunday at Indiana Grand Casino in Shelbyville. The racetrack casino is one of three taking sports bets on the first day it’s allowed, along with Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg and Ameristar in East Chicago. Holcomb’s office won’t say who he’s betting on, but he did deflect a question about sports betting on Thursday with the advice, “Bet on the Colts.”

With Andrew Luck retired, Las Vegas’s Westgate sportsbook gives the Colts 60-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl. Only nine teams are bigger longshots. The Chiefs and Patriots are co-favorites at six-to-one.
