Thunderstorms moved through yesterday afternoon. There were some high winds, heavy downpours and lightning. There were some trees down in Washington and the surrounding areas. Specifically trees were down on Douglas Drive and Bedford Road and again other areas as well. There was also a report of a roof being blown off. Schools in the area were about to let out at the time of the storms and dismissal was delayed until the storms passed. A power line fire was reported just before 4 on Northeast 14th Street believed to have been caused by the storms.
