Trevin Alford of Washington, the 8th grader competing on this season’s Kids Baking Championship on Food Network, advanced for a 3rd week and will continue on.  He not only was good enough to make it another week but, for the 2nd time in the series he won the big bake.

Last night’s challenge for the competitors involved using bundt cake pans, as the bakers made a cake in an assigned flavor and then decorated it to look like an over sized doughnut. Trevin’s flavor was coconut.

He made another one of those cakes at the watch party at Bethany Christian Church in Washington last night.  Dixie Miller won it.  Those who attended and watched the show brought shoes, hygiene products, backpacks and more that were donated to the Hatchets Helping Hatchets program at Washington Community Schools to help students in need.
