Alan Nash

Alan Nash, 65, of Washington, passed away at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

He was born May 4, 1954 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Harley and Barbara (Powers) Nash.

Alan was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School. He joined the Indiana National Guard in 1972 and served until 1980.

He was a self-employed handyman and worked most recently for Gary Hart Homes. Various people in Washington worked for or with Alan at the Red Barn, Burger Chef, Wendy’s and Ponderosa. He enjoyed cooking and going to grandchildren’s sporting events.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Barbara (Powers) Nash.

He is survived by one daughter, Amy Roe of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Kendra Roe, Anthony Roe and Oliver Roe, all of Washington; three siblings, Roger Nash of Washington and Jerry Nash of Nashville, Tennessee, Sue Hollis of Evansville.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Washington Eastside Park Pavilion. Refreshments will be available, please come during that time and stay as long as you wish.
