There are more Republicans filed for Town Board positions throughout Knox County than are needed. So, three towns wil have Republican conventions this week to pick the final nominees.
Monroe City has a convention tomorrow at the Blue Jeans Center, Wheatland will hold one Wednesday night and Edwardsport on Thursday.
Those who vote will have to sign a document promising they are Republican and plan to vote Republican in the municipal election in November. The conventions in each town run 6 to 8 pm.
