On this first day of school in Pike County there was apparently some type of threat.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department on their Facebook page gave no other details other than to say that a juvenile that made a threat concerning a Pike County School had been detained.
Again no other details were released. The Superintendent’s Office put out a call to parents and guardians saying they were aware of the threat and it was being addressed and there were no disruptions to the start of the school day. The Sheriff’s Department posted about 7:45 that the juvenile who allegedly was responsible was detained.
