Fatal accident investigation

       An autopsy is pending on the victim of a late Monday morning fatal accident.

        The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department responded to the one vehicle crash at the intersections of County Roads 600 East and 900-North.  63-year-old Susan Hert of Odon was pronounced dead at the scene.

        She was driving an ’08 Ford F150 south on 600 just north of 900 when she started swerving in the gravel for an unknown reason. The truck went off of the road and hit a dirt bank head-on and flipped over landing on it’s top. Hert was wearing a seatbelt.  Alcohol or drugs are NOT a factor.

        DCSD was assisted by DCH Ambulanc Services, Plainville Fire, The county coroner and Wagler’s Automotive.
