A manufacturing quality manager, Carol was a graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and Vincennes University. Among many interests, Carol enjoyed reading, antiquing, playing Scrabble, and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (but not necessarily all at the same time).

Carol is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Cardinal) Pruett; grandson Brenden Hovis; sisters Judith Sellers and Rita Halstead; and brothers Phillip, Vincent, Joseph, James, Mark, and Flavian Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Anna Lee Schapker.
For their support the family would like to thank Carol’s longtime friend Rhonda Hunt of Indianapolis, Nurse Navigator Cassie Osborn of Community Hospital South, Regina Cunningham of VNA Care Network, and all the staff of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts, especially Adonica Racicot, Mary Smith, Alexandra Bailey and Marlise R. Luskin.
