Washington’s Board of Public Works and Safety gave approval to ten applications for the second round of this year’s sidewalk and curb replacement program.  Mayor Wellman said the cost would be about $27,000.

In other action, the Board approved closing Main Street from East 1st to East 2nd  for the Farm to Table Dinner.  Beth Gabhart said the dinner would use the old GAB parking lot and the gazebo area.   Gabhart said that all the food will be Daviess County produced and that other cities are looking to copy the program supported by the Heartbeat of Washington.   Tickets are limited to 150 and can be purchased on-line from the Daviess County Chamber of Commerce.
