Summer heat is back for the season.
Today it will be warm with a high of 90 then tomorrow an Excessive Heat Watch will be in affect 2-pm tomorrow (Thursday) through 8-pm Sunday. We will see actual temps in the 90s and a heat index that could reach 105 to 110 degrees daily. This can cause health issues with prolonged time in the heat and the most susceptible are the very young, the elderly and those without AC. Car interiors can reach lethal temps in a matter of minutes. So don’t leave pets, kids or the elderly unattended in vehicles. The high heat and humidity will also worsen effects of heat stress.
