The Vincennes University Campus and Community is mourning the death of Phil Rath.
Rath was the Vice President for Financial Services and Government Relations for the college.
In a statement, VU President Chuck Johnson said Rath was instrumental in many campus projects like the Kimmell Park Renovation, The Red Skelton Performing Arts Center and the Indiana Center for Applied Technology and much more.
Just this year, Rath received a Sagamore of the Wabash, Indiana’s highest honor and the Walter A. Davis Citation from Vincennes University.
He served VU for over 35 years. When he started, VU was a one-campus college and he worked to make it a national institution with campus sites and programs across the US.
