The price for your July 4th cookout will cost a little more this year.

An Indiana Farm Bureau survey shows that to feed 10 people at any cookout this summer will cost you an average of $52.56. The market basket shopping list included ground beef, hot dogs, hot dog and hamburger buns, pork spare ribs, watermelon, American cheese slices, baked beans, potato salad, corn chips, prepared lemonade, ketchup and mustard.

20 volunteer shoppers from all across Indiana, collected prices on the specific food items from their local grocery stores. Most of the items increases slightly in price over last year. The average price of items in Indiana are still below the national average.
