-There was an accident involving a tractor and truck reported at 9:41 am Monday at 1200-East North of 800-North. Police logs show that Air Evac was called to land at DCH where Southwest Medical took 2 patients. Another ambulance received statements of medical release from two others involved in the accident. The Sheriff’s Department and Madison Fire Department were also on the scene.
-At 10:43-am Monday, police were called to Family Dollar on East National Highway where reports say a woman with a shopping cart was hit by a car. The woman was taken by ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment.
-Police investigated a hit and run where a motorist was reported to have hit a parked vehicle on East Walnut.
-A tree was reported on fire at 3:39-am Monday on North Street. City Line Crews were called as power lines were down in the tree.
-A tree was reported across the road at Brett Cable Road and Green Acres and some power lines were reported across the road as well. That was called out at 4:41-am Monday.
-An Evansville man was arrested in Daviess County on a warrant on Monday. 35-year-old Charles J. Stone was wanted on an Out of State warrants. No bond was set. The arrest was made by Indiana State Police.
-23-year-old Skylar L. Strange of Washington was arrested for Criminal Mischief after an investigation by city police. Bond was set at $2000.
