Another public hearing concerning a middle school building project for Washington Community Schools will be held tonight.

The project includes a grades 5 to 8 middle school along with a multipurpose field house and a varsity football stadium and track.   The 20 year bond issue will be capped at $38 million, with a maximum effect on the tax rate of 48 cents.

At last week’s hearing there was no opposition to the plan. School Superintendent, Dr. Dan Roach says the community has made it clear over a two year period of public hearings and question and answer sessions that the board and administration have listened..

The hearing tonight is at 7 at Washington High School’s auditorium.
