The Washington Township Fire Department responded Saturday night to a report of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding in a residence. Crews investigated and determined the home contained high levels of the odorless, but potentially lethal gas. Once the cause was corrected, crews ventilated the residence and no injuries were reported. The department reminds us that smoke and carbon dioxide detectors save lives.
