House fire and hit & run accidents reported

-The Montgomery and Southeast Fire Departments were dispatched at 12:39-pm yesterday afternoon to a house fire on 550-East at the Amy and Chad Graber residence.  Log entries report that white smoke was seen coming from the attic when authorities arrived.   It’s believed there were no injuries.

-County officers investigated a hit and run accident that was reported on Old 50 at 300-West yesterday.

-City police worked a hit and run accident that was reported at the Hardee’s parking lot last evening.

-A Montgomery man was arrested yesterday for Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated Involving Endangerment.  Bond was set at $2500 for 35-year-old Wesley Thurman. The arrest was made by Indiana State Police.

 -The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested two Arizona men yesterday.  59-year-old Lloyd Carothers of Benton, Arizona was charged with Operating While Intoxicated while, 55-year-old Johney Lawhorn of Springdale, Arizona man was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Meth.  No bond was set Lawhorn and Benton’s bond was set at $2500.

 -A Washington man was arrested overnight for Operating While Intoxicated.  Washington Police took 37-year-old Joseph Williams into custody on the charge.  Bond was set at $2000.
