The CDC is warning Hoosiers of a deadly insect.  The  Triatominae is commonly called the “kissing bug”. The bugs can live inside, in cracks or holes of substandard housing, or in some outdoor structures. Chagas disease can be transmitted by the insect, which then causes fatal heart abnormalities. The CDC asks those who find a kissing bug in their home to put it in a container with rubbing alcohol or freeze it in order to have it properly identified by a local lab or health department.
