Patsy Ann Swartzentruber, 75, went to her heavenly home on June 5, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. Patsy was born on October 22, 1943 in Daviess County, the daughter of Charles R. and Iola (Burns) Merry. She married Dennie Swartzentruber on February 22, 1964.

Patsy had been a teachers-aid for Washington Community Schools and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was very active there. She was a former member of Beta-Sigma- Phi and enjoyed any sporting event or activity her grandchildren participated in. Patsy also enjoyed traveling with her husband and had visited all the contiguous United States since her retirement.

Survivors include her beloved family, husband, Dennie Swartzentruber, daughter, Michelle Heacock and her husband Jerry of Washington, son, Mike Swartzentruber and his wife Misty of Crown Point; sister, Betty Wood Cosby and her husband Gene of Washington; grandchildren, Madison Heacock Bowman and her husband Kade, McGuire Heacock, Griffen Swartzentruber and Ryan Swartzentruber. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Phyllis Trinkle Burkhart.

Friends may visit with Patsy’s family from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St. and on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from noon until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Rex Thomas will officiate, and Patsy will be laid to rest in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Online memories may be shared with Patsy’s family and friends at www.goodwinsieversfh.com.
