State Briefs: Boating death near Bloomington, shooting in Evansville, tornado in Pendleton

BOATING ACCIDENTS

Conservation Police in Indiana say they’ve found one of three missing people after a series of weekend boating accidents. Searchers found the body of William Snoddy in Lake Monroe late Sunday night. He had fallen off a boat and into the water on Sunday. But, officers say they’re still looking for two other men, one in the Tippecanoe River in White County, and the other in the White River in Indianapolis. Indiana’s DNR is reminding folks to be safe out on the water this summer.

 

EVANSVILLE SHOOTING

 Evansville police say a fight led to a shooting that sent one man to the hospital. It all happened last night at an apartment complex on the city’s east side. Officers say two men got into a fight at cookout, one pulled a gun and shot the other. EPD says the victim was rushed to the hospital, they say they have a person of interest in custody.

PENDLETON TORNADOS

 Over a thousand residents in Pendleton are still without power this morning after a possible tornado blew through the Madison County town Monday evening. The National Weather Service has yet to officially confirm it, but several videos have popped up on social media of a tornado causing significant damage to homes in the area. The storms moved through causing significant damage. Over 70 homes are said to be either damaged or destroyed. Funnel clouds and tornadoes were reported in several other counties, including Hamilton, Miami, Grant, St. Joseph, and Fulton Counties
