Max Eaton passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 8:35 pm at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.

He was born May 25, 1929 to Charles Edgar and Mary Elizabeth (Webber) Eaton in Plainville, Indiana. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1947. He married the love of his life, Jodi Bateman, on April 23, 1949 and they celebrated 70 years together. Max was a farmer for several years and retired in 1993 from Eaton’s Farm Service in Montgomery, Indiana. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church, Montgomery Ruritan Club, and had previously worked on the Hospital Board for 8 years. Max was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He always rooted for the Cubs and anyone that played the St. Louis Cardinals! Nothing made him as happy as when the Cubs won the world series!

He is survived by his wife Jodi (Batemen) Eaton, daughters Vicki (Paul) Bertges of Ellenton, Florida and Pam (Dan) McAtee of Washington and daughter-in-law, Judy Eaton, also of Washington; brother Darrell Eaton of Montgomery and sister Olive Lawyer of Plainville; grandchildren Eric Faith, Rhonda Parsons, Alicia Jones, Christine Cook, Brian McAtee, Chad McAtee, Taj Eaton, Jill Newlin, Kenna Bradley, and Daulton Eaton; 24 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles and Mary Eaton, 2 sons; Kenneth and Michael Eaton, and brothers, Norman, Bill, and Gene Eaton.
