The Washington Community School Board is voting on a new athletic director today.
The Board is considering hiring Larry Cochren who is the AD at Richmond High School. Prior to that position, Cochren led the athletic department at Evansville Bosse. He holds a Certified Master Athletic Administrator title which is the highest certification for an AD. If hired, he would replace Gene Miiler the who has retired as athletic director at WHS but will remain the high school boys’ basketball coach.
Cochren is expected to be at a special school board meeting to be held at the Central office in Washington at 5pm today.
