Two jailed after a traffic stop in Washington

– Washington Police stopped a vehicle last night for having expired plates. Upon investigation, two men were arrested.  The car was stopped on Northwest 12th near McCormick at 7:35-pm.  The driver, identified as 23-year-old Gebran Ozoa of Washington was found to be wanted on a Martin County warrant for False Informing and Operating a Vehicle Having Never Received a license.  A passenger, 31-year-old Ernie R. Rivera of Washington was found to be wanted on a Daviess County warrant for Failure to Appear for Operating a Vehicle without ever Receiving a License.   During the stop, illegal narcotics were found by a police K9 on scene.  Also found was a .22 caliber loaded handgun along with the meth, syringes and paraphernalia.  Both face drug and paraphernalia possession charges, Possession of a Handgun without a license in addition to being arrested on the warrants. Both were jailed without bond.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Bloomington man on a warrant Monday.  30-year-old Justin P. King was wanted for Burglary, Theft and Termination from Community Corrections for Burglary.  No bond was set.

-Washington Police arrested 45-year-old David J. Mandabach on a Petition to Revoke a Suspended Sentence for Possession of Meth and Marijuana and Reckless Driving.  Bond was set at $50,000.

-Bond was set at $5000 for a Washington man arrested by the sheriff’s department on a Petition to Revoke a Suspended Sentence for Sexual Misconduct with a minor.  23-year-old Nickolas M. Gaines was arrested yesterday.
