A celebration and dedication took place Saturday for the new Washington Township Fire Station on Bedford Road.
Construction on the new facility started last August after the Township Trustee and a committee of upper management of the Fire Department started the process of applying and receiving a grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The new building does have a wall made up of old wood from the previous building and engraved in it are the first charter members of the department and others who have served and are serving.
