Ross Brooks Lovett, 80, passed away at 12:12 am on Friday, May 3, 2019. Ross was born on January 26, 1939 in Benton, KY, the son of MZ and Nina (Ross) Lovett.

Ross started Lovetts Used Car sales in 1958 and had a motorcycle dealership from 1967 until 1969. At one time he also sold house trailers. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Hadi Shrine for over fifty years. Ross loved selling and restoring antique cars and owned and operated Daviess County Towing Wrecker Service for several years. He had a special friend, Wayne Lee that helped at the car lot. Ross’s favorite things were going to car auctions, flea markets, swap meets, car shows and car cruises.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Fox) Lovett who he married on September 16, 1956; daughter, Rhonda Lovett and her significant other Michael Cooley; grandchildren, Jim Edwards and his wife Susan,  Mandie Yoder and her husband Gary,  great grandchildren, Maranda, Andria, and Dominic Yoder, Kaleb and Allison Edwards,  Alexis Archer, Jennifer Padgett, Trevor Padgett, Mya Padgett; his two favorite fur babies, Mexi and Max; nephew, Todd England, great nephew Michael Todd England and his significant other Abby Reel; great niece Ashley England and great- great nephew, Loghan England. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, son Mike Lovett; two great grandsons and his sister Barbara England.

Friends may visit with Ross’s family from 4-8 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street. Ross’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
