There are just a few more days left to vote early in the primary election. The Daviess County Clerk’s office is open today and tomorrow 8 to 4 at the courthouse. Special Saturday hours will be held this weekend 8 to Noon. Early voting will continue Monday morning 8 to Noon. The election is Tuesday.
There are 4 contested races on the Republican ballot in Washington.
Elsewhere in the area there are 3 Democrat races in Loogootee including a mayor’s race. There is only 1 Democrat city council race in Vincennes. No contested races in Bicknell or Petersburg.
City and county offices will be closed in Washington on Tuesday next week due to election day. However, due to a lack of activity in Vincennes, Bicknell and Petersburg, city government there will be open as usual.
