A woman missing from Monroe County was found in Daviess County last night.

A statewide Silver Alert was issued for 70 year old Rhea J. Weaver yesterday.  She had last been seen at noon.  Silver Alerts are issued when a person with a mental disability or dementia, usually the elderly, go missing.

The Ellettsville Police Department put out a description of Mrs. Weaver saying she was driving an ’09 Honda SUV. It was believed she was in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.

According to Daviess County police logs, county dispatch received a call from Elnora about 7 last night.  The caller advised they saw a woman sitting on the shoreline watching her vehicle sink in the water. It was learned that the woman was Mrs. Weaver. Her husband was contacted in Monroe County and she was then declared found and the Silver Alert was cancelled.
