Between May 4 and June 6, visitors to the Daviess County Museum  will see Civil War history come alive when the Daviess County Museum hosts the Indiana Historical Society’s travelling exhibit, the Faces of the Civil War.

The exhibit brings to life the stories of many Hoosiers whose lives were touched, and sometimes taken, by the Civil War.  Rather than focusing on battles and statistics, the exhibit illustrates how regular people coped with the tragic experiences of the day – all from an Indiana perspective.  In conjunction with the Faces of the Civil War exhibit, local Civil War expert, Monty Critchlow will present a program on Daviess County in the Civil War.

Daviess County Museum Director, Becky Kremp says having the Indiana Historical Society’s Faces of the Civil War at the local Museum is a special honor for the local Museum.  The exhibit will take 800 sq feet of floor space and the free standing exhibits are 7 feet tall.

Again, the Faces of the Civil war will be  at the Daviess County Museum May 3, to June 7.  Make plans to see this special and limited exhibit at the local Museum.
