Timothy John Griffith, 57, passed away at Hillside Manor Nursing Home while under the care of Helping Hearts Hospice on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Tim was born June 29, 1961, in Northville, Michigan, to Richard and Joanne (Schmidt) Griffith. Tim is survived by brothers Dan Griffith (wife Beth, deceased), and Rick (Julie) Griffith, both of Washington; sisters Susan Griffith (Richard Pennycuff) of Albany, Kentucky, and Bonnie (Ken) Brown of Washington. Tim is also survived by nieces, nephews and stepchildren. Also surviving is Tim’s special friend, Mary Sellers of Wheatland. Tim is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Kathie and Patty.
Tim managed the C&M Video Store in Washington and worked in construction. Tim was a member of the 1979 Washington High School class and a member of the Eagles Club. Tim enjoyed working outdoors, woodworking, painting and the river.
Tim appreciated the great care he received through the oncology center at Daviess Community Hospital since spring of 2016. Tim chose to donate his body for the advancement in disease study to MedCure. The family is planning an event to celebrate Tim’s life.
