Matthew James Hellums, 39, of Loogootee passed away on April 13, 2019 at 8:37 A.M at Loogootee Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born March 8, 1980 to Richard Dean and Clara Evelyn (Wilcoxen) Hellums in Daviess County, Indiana.
Matthew believed in the Christian Faith, he was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Carl “Vernon” Hellums and Gerald Wilcoxen.
Matt is survived by his parents, Richard D. and Clara E. Hellums, his sisters; Heather Dawn (Anthony) Frances of Brazil, Indiana, Brandy Nicole Hellums of Terre Haute, Indiana, his nephews; Trevor Alan Sellers, Tyler Jerome Rohlman, Nicolas Andrew Clark, Deion Jacob Russel, his great- nephew Michael Ray Rohlman, his grandmothers; Pauline Hellums, Ruby Wilcoxen, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 10:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee.
