The Knox County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Kathy Stephens is their Educator of the Year recipient for 2019.
Stephens started teaching 2nd grade at North Knox back in 1984. She went to North Knox East in ’88 teaching 5th and 6th until it was closed in 2010. She now teaches 5th grade English at North Knox Intermediate. Her father was a teacher, as are two of her daughters.
Stephens will be recognized at the chamber’s annual awards dinner set for Tuesday next week.
