Matthew W. Minderman, 59, of Bloomington formerly of Vincennes passed away at 1:29 pm on Friday, April 5, 2019 at his home. Matt was born on August 14, 1959 in Vincennes, the son of Gerald “Jerry” and Mildred “Midge” (Mansell) Minderman. He married Terry Early on May 21, 1983 in the First Church of God in Vincennes.
Survivors include his wife Terry Minderman, sons, Jason Hendricks and his wife April, Chris Minderman and his wife Jennifer, sisters, Anne Matthews and her husband George, Mindy Minderman; brothers, Bill Minderman and his wife Jan; sister-in-law, Donetta Minderman; grandchildren, Gavin Hendricks and Colton and Elle Minderman. Matt was preceded in death by his parents and brother Pat Minderman.
Matt was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School, Vincennes University, Indiana University and was a member of the Evangelical Community Church in Bloomington. He was very passionate about Vincennes Cub League, Indiana University Athletics, church and youth sports. Matt was a member of the Vincennes University and Indiana University Alumni Association and was a former member of the Vincennes Rotary Club as well as the Vincennes Community School Corporation School Board.
A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 2625 Wabash Avenue, Vincennes, IN with Pastor John Mangrum officiating. The Minderman family will receive friends later that day from 3-8 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. Memorial contributions may be made to Vincennes Cub League, Inc.
