Maury Claire Lemon, 66, entered eternal peace at 2:59 pm on April 3, 2019 at her home. Maury was born on March 31,1953 in Washington to Robert L. and Rosemary (Wildridge) Albright.
Maury was a 1971 graduate of Washington Catholic High School, a 1973 graduate of Vincennes University and of the Catholic faith. She had been 1st Deputy Auditor for Daviess County for over forty-three years and she retired March 31, 2019. Maury was a member of the Daviess County Republican Women, Indiana County Auditors Association and a former member of the Woman of Moose. Maury enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
Survivors include her son, Brian and his wife Michelle of Washington; mother, Rosemary Albright of Washington; sister, Karen Moore of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Collin, Claire, Carson and Calleigh; nephews, Troy Rodimel and his wife Jamisyn of Greenwood, IN, Trent Rodimel of Bradenton, FL; niece, Tina Scott and her husband Jason of Chatham, IL; special friends Alan and Candy Lemon and several great nieces and nephews. Maury was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may visit with Maury’s family on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 3-8 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington and on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. Maury’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Richardson and Yvonne Evans officiating. Maury will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Lemon family with arrangements.
