A motorist who was stopped by police in Greene County fled leading law enforcement on a chase west of Bloomfield to Switz City to Lawrence Hollow on Algood Drive in Bloomfield.
Brittany Knapp was found to have two outstanding warrants out of Monroe County when she was stopped. She was wanted for Possession and Dealing Meth. She had been stopped for driving left of center about 9:26 last night. After the initial stop she fled in her vehicle ramming two Greene County Sheriff’s Department vehicles in an effort to avoid arrest.
She crashed her vehicle on Algood Drive in Bloomfield and then fled on foot and was later located hiding in a closet in a nearby residence.
She’s facing numerous charges related to the chase, as well as drug possession crimes and Identity Deception. She was lodged in the Greene County Jail.
