Four Area School Districts Awarded Digital Learning Grants

Four area school districts have been awarded Digital Learning Grants by the Indiana Department of Education. Less than one-fourth of Indiana’s 291 school districts were awarded the competitive grants of up to $50,000.
Washington’s Superintendent, Dr. Dan Roach, says this is the third time in a four year period that Washington has been among the 48 school districts receiving the grant. Roach says that Washington continues to prepare Washington’s students for a place in the ever growing technological world. Washington Community Schools will use this year’s grant to help Washington’s staff to help students by keeping pace with the ever-continuing technological changes. Other area districts receiving grants were Jasper, Barr-Reeve, and Loogootee.
