NASCO founder Neil Smith dies at 88

           The founder of NASCO Industries in Washington will be laid to rest on March 27th .   He died Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital.

          Neil Smith was product Manager of Uniroyal Clothing Division 40 years ago when bankrupty was imminent.  Smith obatined financing and bought the plant which became the Neil A. Smith Company or NASCO Industries.   Smith was born and raised in Washington State and earned a BA and worked in the Northwest and started working for Uniroyal in the early 1960’s and came to Washington in 1976.

          After establishing NASCO Smith became very involved in numerous activities organizations and the business community here.
