Knights of Columbus drawings to be earlier this year

     The Washington Board of Public Works and Safety gave the Knights of Columbus received permission to close Main Street between East Fourth and East Third on Saturday evenings again this year.  Speaking for the K of C, Randy Emmons said the only difference is the drawing will be held earlier this year…at 6:00 p.m. Emmons said ticket sales will begin April 22, with the first drawing set for April 27.   

  The Board also approved a request by DLC Media to hold the 4th Annual Memories 107.9 Classic Car Cruz-In on Saturday, May 4th, on Main Street between East 3rd and Meridian Streets.  

    In other business the Board of Works accepted the bid from Hardrock Concrete for this year’s Sidewalk and Curb replacement program.  Property owners wanting to participate in this year’s sidewalk program can get applications at the Building Commissioner’s office.
