Anne Arvin, 78, of Loogootee, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Newburgh Healthcare in Newburgh, Indiana.
She was born August 10, 1940 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Michael and Mary (Fegan) Steiner.
Anne was a past member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and St. Martin Altar Society. She also was a past member of St. Martin Catholic Church and a current member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Joseph Arvin; parents, Michael and Mary (Fegan) Steiner; sisters, Mary Jane Colbert, Dorothy Hagerty and Joan Steiner; brothers, John “Jack” Steiner, Charles Steiner and James Steiner.
Anne is survived by her sons, Douglas J. Arvin of Acworth, Georgia, Michael (Lisa) Arvin of Loogootee and David (Aimee) Arvin of Newburgh; grandchildren, Charles Raymond Arvin, Allyson Ann (Landon) Lengacher, Bradley Douglas Arvin, Adalyn Rae (Liam) Hollihan, Kaeleigh Dawn Ross and Raymond Nicholas Arvin; great-grandchild, Lanson Michael Lengacher; brother, Dan Steiner; sisters-in-law, Mary June Steiner and Barbara Steiner; brother-in-law, Ralph Hagerty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
