A judge signed a warrant for the arrest of Martinsville’s chief of police Matthew Long yesterday afternoon. He turned himself in soon after charged with theft and official misconduct, say Indiana State Police. This all stems from an investigation that began in January of last year when the Morgan County Prosecutor’s Office and the State Board of Accounts were asked to look into possible criminal acts by Long. ISP says Long is cooperating with their investigation. The nature of the criminal acts Long is accused of is not clear.
