Arrests and accidents

     -A Loogootee man was arrested for Burglary, Theft, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The arrest made yesterday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.  He was also wanted on a warrant for Auto Theft.  No bond was set for Ryan Fields.

-Indiana State Police arrested a Pontiac, Michigan woman.  24-year-old La’Dreanna Howard is charged with Operating While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

  -Details were released concerning an accident that happened Tuesday morning just after 11 at US 50 and County Road 350-East. 65-year-old Rosalee Wininger of Loogootee was east bound in a Chevy Tahoe behind 36-year-old Weston Michael driving a Tundra pickup truck.  Wininger said Michael signaled to turn left at the Amish Country Corner and did turn left into the path of a westbound semi.  The pickup and semi hit head on.  Wininger’s vehicle was struck as a result of the crash.  Michael was injured and transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper.  As reported yesterday, the crash caused a fuel spill from the semi and IDEM was called to assist in the cleanup.

 -Authorities responded to an accident in front of Wal-Mart yesterday morning. Two vehicles were in involved and damaged.    There were no injuries.
