Investigation into illegal gambling continues

 Undercover officers, surveillance and trash pulls is what resulted in the arrest of a Washington man for illegal gambling this week.   The investigation, which is still ongoing, unveiled alleged gambling activity at the Tuxedo bar and restaurants in Washington and Jasper among other locations.   The Washington Times Herald says suspected betting records and other alleged evidence were found by state and federal authorities as they searched trash and phone records Also, undercover officers were reported to have placed bets and paid losses.   59-year-old Roger Padgett was arrested in the investigation and posted bond.  No court date has been set for the case.
