Raymond J. Neukam, 85, passed away at 4:44 pm on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Daviess Community Hospital. Ray was born on August 22, 1933 in Dubois County the son of Raymond H. and Kathleen (Taylor) Neukam. He married Naomi Miller on September 21, 1951.
Ray was a mechanic in the maintenance department at Uni-Royal and later Nasco for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and working on cars and tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Neukam of Washingtn; sons, Steve Neukam and his wife Diane and David Neukam and his wife Debbie both of Washington; daughter, Carla Barry and her husband Marty of Belmar, NJ; daughter-in-law, Linda Neukam; son-in-law, Jack Arvin of Washington; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sherry Arvin; son, Daniel Neukam; sister, Sandra Presley; granddaughter, Nikki Neukam and two great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with Rays family from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. Rays funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
