Rita S. Hartzburg, 78, passed away at 1:15 am on January 31, 2019 at the Lodge of the Wabash.
Rita was born on July 3, 1940 in Knox County the daughter of Joe and Clara (Bauer) Chanley. She married Dexter F. Hartzburg on August 27, 1989 and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2016.
Survivors include her step-son, Mike Hartzburg and his wife Teresa of Vincennes; her siblings, William Joseph Chanley, David Wayne Chanley and his wife Catherine, Raymond Eugene Chanley , Robert Edward Chanley , Kenneth Earl Chanley, Linda Kay Chanley Hacker and her husband Steve, Howard Wayne Chanley all of Vincennes, Larry Ray Chanley and his wife Krystal of Jackson, TN and six grandchildren. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Arthur Chanley and grandson Tyson Hartzburg.
Friends may visit with Rita’s family from noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Rita’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
