A woman has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for slamming into the back of a vehicle killing two while she was driving while impaired.
25-year-old Ashley Sanders pleaded guilty to Causing Death with a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Driving Too Fast for Conditions in September of last year.
She was on Old 41 in Gibson County and didn’t see the car in front of her slow down to turn and she struck the back of that car. 19-year-old Traveor Watt of Princeton and 20-year-old James Gasaway of Haubstadt were in the vehicle and died in the crash.
Sanders had tested positive for alcohol and meth which attributed to the cause of the deadly crash.
