The Washington Community and Barr Reeve School Boards reorganized for the New Year Tuesday.   Washington’s school board members were sworn in and longtime member Steve Frette was again selected to serve as President of the Board.  Randy Bouchie is VP and Peg Stephens is Secretary.  The Washington Times Herald quotes Frette talking about potential construction.  He said talks continue on increasing capabilities in the elementary schools or making changes to grade level buildings or changes to buildings as they are.  No decisions have been made.

The three member Barr Reeve School Board named Lanna Helms as President, new member Jody Shultheis Vice President and Alex Knepp Secretary.  The Times Herald reports that School Superintendent Travis Madison is hoping to have public meetings in the coming weeks for the community to see Barr-Reeve’s building plans for the corporation’s renovations and expansion.
